Damian Costello is Head of Innovation at Synecco and heads up our innovation business Decode Innovation, based out of Synecco’s Headquarters in Parkmore, Galway. A regular keynote speaker on the future of MedTech, Damian has almost 25 years’ experience in new product development, innovation and long-term strategy across the rapidly converging fields of MedTech, Pharma, and Information Technology. While operating exclusively out of Ireland, Damian has delivered global breakthroughs in the U.K., Europe, the United States and the Far East.
Decode innovation helps its clients to predict and communicate ambitious futures, identifies how those futures can be achieved and supports leadership teams to deliver better results than they ever thought possible. Decode was set up to demystify innovation and to share its secrets with business leaders looking for more control over this critical lever of future competitive advantage.
James is the Founder and CEO of Lifes2good, having set-up the company in 1997. Born in Galway, he attended St. Jarlaths College in Tuam and then attained a B. Comm in NUIG before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1986.
James then moved to Brussels where he worked for Coopers & Lybrand (currently Pricewaterhouse Coopers) and spent five years working between Belgium and Luxembourg. He returned to Ireland in 1991 to join BMR-Slendertone where he built the brand, and then he sold out his participation in 1997 to start up Lifes2good.
Under James leadership, Lifes2good has grown from a small distribution company to a global enterprise. He championed a marketing model comprising of direct sales to consumers through database and internet marketing in addition to selling into pharmacy chains and health stores.
James made the company’s first acquisition in the UK in 2003. In 2007 he acquired the Viviscal brand when this business had a turnover of €700k. The company continued to grow with further expansion throughout Europe and the US.
Lifes2good grew the business worldwide with offices in Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Portugal.
The Viviscal business grew to €50m in 2016 and in January 2017, Lifes2good successfully sold the Viviscal brand to the US Conglomerate Church & Dwight for €150m.
James has attended the Leadership 4 Growth programme at Stanford University in California in 2011 sponsored by Enterprise Ireland and has followed Business Development programmes in the IMI. He was one of the finalists in the Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year programme in 2013.
James currently lives in Galway with his wife Maria and four children, and also enjoys participating in Triathlons, singing and supporting the local Rugby community..
Colm Feeney – Founder & CEO of SSL Logistics In 2000, Source & Supply Logistics (SSL) was formed by Colm Feeney, a specialist in supply chain management (SCM) with over 20 years experience working for Nortel Networks.As the company quickly grew Colm brought together a highly skilled management team all with backgrounds in SCM.
SSL LOGISTICS is a family owned business established in Galway in 2000. Set up as a 2 man operation they currently employ over 90 people. During this time they have developed a full suite of supply chain services to many business sectors. Initially their activity focused on the local multinational sector but they continue to expand their customer base. Today almost 50% of their revenue is generated from export sales. Typically they service customers across Europe, US, Asia. As their business has grown they have continued to support many local suppliers SAP, Caulfields, Passax, Corrib Fire, Supervalu, Galcom, Athenry Truck Centre and many others.

Enterprise Ireland is the government organisation responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets. Enterprise Ireland works in partnership with Irish enterprises to help them start, grow, innovate and win export sales in global markets.
Marina Donohoe is based in London and is Enterprise Ireland’s Regional Director of the UK & Northern Europe. Marina leads a team of executives in London, Dusseldorf, Paris, Stockholm, Amsterdam and the Netherlands in delivering export growth for Irish clients throughout these regions. Prior to taking up this Directorial role, Marina was Head of Education in Ireland and managed the Business & Consumer Services Department to grow the Internationally Traded Services sector through financial support and assistance regarding management capability, innovation and export led job growth.
Enterprise Ireland Manager - Germany, Switzerland and Austria
Eddie Goodwin is based in Dusseldorf and is currently Enterprise Ireland’s Manager responsible for developing Irish exports, promoting Irish Business and creating opportunities and partnerships for Irish companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to specialising in the German speaking regions of Europe, Eddie was manager of Enterprise Ireland’s Boston office with US wide responsibilities for the economic development and growth of exports for Irish companies from the Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals and Energy sectors. Eddie Goodwin is the EI and Ireland Inc. representative on Irish Government Trade Missions, including Taoiseach and Government Minister Visits.

Susanne Dirks is founder and managing consultant of e-Vorsprung Consulting, a company Susanne founded in 2013.
Susanne, a native German based in Ireland, holds a 1st Class B.Sc. (Hons) in Information Technology and a Masters in Artificial Intelligence. In addition, she has a number of web technology and e-marketing related diplomas and is a state-examined translator and member of the Executive Committee of the ITIA, the Irish Translators’ and Interpreters’ Association.
After 20 years of working as a management consultant and manager for technology MNCs across Europe, Susanne decided to set up her own business, e-Vorsprung Consulting, where she combines her background and experience in consulting, IT, web technologies, e-marketing and translation, helping Irish companies develop and implement a strategy for international web presence and thus fully leveraging the Internet for international marketing and sales.
As part of e-Vorsprung Consulting, Susanne also works very intensively with Irish companies who want to export into her native German market.
